WHO WE ARE

Paddle Results is published by QUKO TECH, S.L. (QUKO, we), the data controller for the purposes of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD).

This policy covers the Paddle Results mobile app for iOS and Android.

THE SHORT VERSION

Paddle Results does not collect personal data. There is no account, no sign-up and no login. There are no ads, no advertising identifiers, no tracking and no analytics in the app. We do not build a profile of you, and we have nothing to sell or share, because we never receive it.

WHAT IS STORED ON YOUR DEVICE

The app saves the following on your device only, so that it can remember your choices between sessions:

  • Athletes, races and competitions you save to your favourites
  • Races you have selected for comparison, and any comparisons you have named and saved
  • Your recent searches
  • Your answer to the analytics consent prompt

This information stays in the app's local storage on your device. It is never transmitted to us or to anyone else, it is not backed up to our servers, and we cannot read it. Deleting the app removes all of it. You can also clear it at any time from within the app by removing your saved items.

CONNECTIONS THE APP MAKES

To show you results, the app contacts the following services:

1. The Paddle Results API (results.quko.es), operated by QUKO

The app requests race, athlete, competition and ranking data. These requests do not carry any account, identifier or profile, because none exists. As with any internet service, our servers record standard technical connection data — IP address, timestamp, and the resource requested — which we use to operate the service, keep it secure and diagnose faults. We do not use this data to identify or profile individual users, and we do not combine it with anything else.

2. Open-Meteo (api.open-meteo.com, geocoding-api.open-meteo.com), a third-party service

The app uses this only to work out the time zone of a race venue, so that race times display correctly. All that is sent are the venue's coordinates or the name of the competition venue — a public sporting location, not you.

The app never requests, uses or transmits your device's location. It holds no location permission. Venue coordinates come from our own archive data.

3. Links you choose to open

If you tap a link to an external website, it opens in an in-app browser window. Those sites are governed by their own privacy policies, not this one.

PERMISSIONS

The app requests internet access only. It does not ask for, and cannot access, your camera, microphone, photos, files, contacts, calendar, location or health data. It does not send push notifications.

SHARING

When you share a race, athlete or page, the app hands a plain web link to your device's own share sheet. You choose the destination. The link contains only what you were looking at and any filters you had applied. We are not told that you shared anything, or with whom.

LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING

The only processing we carry out is the technical connection data described above, on the basis of our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in delivering a working, secure service. Everything else stays on your device and is not processed by us at all.

RETENTION

Data stored on your device remains until you delete it or uninstall the app. Server connection logs are kept only for the limited period needed for security and diagnostics, and are then deleted.

INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

Our API is served from within the European Union. Open-Meteo is operated from the European Union. Where any transfer outside the European Economic Area occurs, it is carried out under the safeguards required by Chapter V of the GDPR.

CHILDREN

Paddle Results is a sports results archive suitable for all ages. It does not collect personal data from anyone, including children, and contains no user accounts, messaging, user-generated content or advertising.

YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. You may exercise these rights by writing to contacto@quko.es.

Please note that because the app does not collect identifying information, we ordinarily hold no personal data by which we could recognise you, and we may be unable to act on a request beyond confirming this (Article 11 GDPR). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Authority (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, www.aepd.es).

THE PADDLE RESULTS WEBSITE

The website at results.quko.es is a separate service from the app. Unlike the app, the website uses Google Analytics 4, and only if you give consent through the banner shown on your first visit; you can decline, and analytics will not run. The app contains no analytics component at all.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

If we change how the app handles data, we will update this policy and the last updated date above, and where the change is significant we will say so in the app's release notes.
